Have you ever purchased a sofa or chair only for it to break down after 3 years? Furniture from a lot of well-known retailers is what we call “value engineered” which means that the components and materials are made to lower the cost with a tolerable loss in performance or functionality. Unfortunately, “tolerable loss of performance or quality” often translates to furniture that doesn’t hold up over time.
For example, a value engineered sofa is going to be made with MDF or a soft wood like pine. Our pieces are crafted with kiln dried hard wood so that over time and with proper care, they will last you for decades to come. These frames will last you at least 20 years. The fabric is likely to wear out before your frame gives out.
Often times an investment isn’t in the budget and the cheaper sofa seems like a great idea. However it will be easier on the planet and your wallet in the long run to invest from the start, if you are able to.
On top of the frame, these sofas, chairs, dining chairs, and benches are made with Qualux foam which is the highest grade furniture foam on the market. What does this mean? It means that the it is going to hold up to many years of gatherings and cozy nights on the couch. The manufacturer guarantees the foam for the lifetime of the piece with the original owner.
