- Â What is your favorite part about your job?
I love to help people have their a-ha moment and bring their home dreams to life. Typically, clients can’t articulate what they’re thinking or visualize it so the best part is helping them through that process and them finally seeing the end product. - What’s your least favorite trend?
I’m here for trends in the right context but, the curvy furniture trend isn’t my favorite – it is just a little too reminiscent of 80’s design for me personally. Also, farmhouse. It’s done guys, let’s move on. - How do you recharge and unwind when you’re burnt out?
I really rely on my weekends to recharge, but also trips. My family and I love staying busy and going on little getaways, which I live for. I need to take a step back when I’m burnt out and getting out of town is a great way for me to do that. - Can you pick a favorite thing about furniture markets?
I love the vibe. Everyone is excited to be inspired and see new things. There is an energy that is in the air, and if you’re lucky enough to travel with designer friends, there is nothing like that – you’re surrounded by people that geek out over the same things you do, in an environment we thrive in. It’s the best! - What is your favorite piece of furniture in your home?
I’m waiting on a new sectional, so this may change, but I love my dining table. It’s made from reclaimed pine and it is meant to tell a story. It isn’t finished so it leaves watermarks and a wine splashes here and there – which I feel tells the story of fun dinners and good memories. - Do you have a big career aspiration or dream project?
Honestly, I just want to keep doing what I’m doing. I love the process of design and construction, so if I can get to place where I’m doing projects from the drawing phase to hanging the art on the walls, I would be really happy with that.
